Free Tax Preparation Available in Southwest Louisiana

United Way Southwest Louisiana is offering free tax preparation services through the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. Trained volunteers help eligible community members file their taxes at no cost.

Locations Available:

  • Lake Charles: Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Annex (2000 Moeling St.) and United Way Southwest Louisiana (815 Ryan St.)
  • Vinton: Vinton Library — 1601 Loree Street
  • Iowa: Iowa Library — 109 S. Thompson Ave.
  • DeRidder: Beauregard Parish Central Library (205 S. Washington St.) and East Beauregard Library (7600 Hwy 26)
  • DeQuincy: DeQuincy Library — 102 N. Pine Street
  • Jennings: Assist Agency Inc — 107 E. Nezpique Street
  • Sulphur: Sulphur Regional Library — 1160 Cypress Street
