Camp staff empower campers through immersive camp experiences. Deliver programs areas such as archery, hatchet throwing, creative arts, nature, and more! Staff create a safe and nurturing environment for campers growth and enjoyment and ensure that the health and safety of all campers remains a top priority.
This position begins in mid-June and ends in late-August, which includes one week of staff training before campers arrive.
What else should I know about the position?
• Two weeks paid staff training, including admin training/prep time and all staff training.
• Additional certification week (if needed) may include CPR, wilderness first aid, lifeguarding, canoeing, challenge course, hatchet throwing, archery, etc.
• Between 70 -100 campers attend each session of overnight camp at Camp Natarswi.
• We offer 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-week programs for our campers.
• The Natarswi summer team consists of 25- 32 staff members.

Camp Natarswi is a true wilderness paradise, providing a one-of-a-kind, rustic, Maine outdoor experience, all in the shadow of majestic Mt. Katahdin, Maine’s highest peak. Natarswi hugs the shoreline of Lower Togue Pond and is located in Baxter State Park, home to awesome trails to hike, caves to explore, waterfalls to see, and peaks to climb.

Physical Requirements
Ability and willingness to perform tasks that involve the ability to exert physical effort, which may involve bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 40 pounds). Regular standing and prolonged periods of walking on rough and uneven terrain at camp is required.
