Allied Petrochemical is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join their team in Alvin, TX. As an EHS Manager, you will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance by ensuring that our facility operates in full compliance with TCEQ, PSM, and ISO 9001 guidelines, as well as other applicable environmental and safety regulations. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining and updating our Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), as well as managing our wastewater permit, air permit, and various waste streams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs in accordance with TCEQ, PSM, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including wastewater and air permits, and manage waste streams effectively.
- Oversee the maintenance and implementation of the company’s SPCC and SWPPP plans, ensuring all requirements are met and documentation is up to date.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure the facility meets all safety and environmental standards.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Quality Manager to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of plant operations.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, developing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future risks.
- Provide training and support to staff on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all reporting requirements related to environmental and safety compliance.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes, recommending and implementing updates to EHS programs as necessary.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in an EHS role within the chemical manufacturing industry, with specific experience in managing PSM and ISO 9001 systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCEQ regulations, wastewater and air permitting processes, and hazardous waste management.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining SPCC and SWPPP plans.
- Proven ability to lead safety audits, conduct incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in EHS management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
