Garden Center Sales Associate – Seasonal

We are seeking a seasonal associate to become part of our team in our retail garden center opening April 1st. In this position, you will gain experience and knowledge in horticulture while assisting and maintaining the garden center.
Responsibilities:
· Welcome and assist customers to best identify their needs.
· Unload trucks when new stock arrives.
· Water and maintain current stock to ensure the highest quality of plants.
· Heavy lifting may be required to move carts of plant material.
· Price and label plant material accurately and accordingly.
· Set up displays and assist with seasonal décor.
· Maintaining grounds weeding, watering, pruning, clean fountains, etc.
· Enter and process customer transactions.

Company Description:
The Fields on Caton Farm is situated on two hundred acres of fertile Will County farmland Started in 1993 by Greg Neumann that has been nurtured by the Neumann family since the 1940s. Featuring a beautiful retail Garden Center and 5-acre walking garden. We grow ornamental and shade trees, as well as provide a general line of nursery stock. At The Fields, we pride ourselves in the fact that we know plants and only grow and sell the hardiest varieties for our climate. Over the years, we have added a level of design to the Garden Center for our customers to Shop Extraordinary Not Ordinary!
